Privacy Policy

NoScroll (bundle ID com.mindful.noscroll) respects your privacy. This Policy explains how information related to the product is handled.

In short: core features are designed to run on your device. We do not operate a cloud account that harvests your feed content or contacts. Screen Time selections are managed by the OS; intentional events and settings are stored locally by default.

1. Scope

This Policy covers the NoScroll mobile app and this website (including Privacy Policy and Terms pages). If we later offer account-based cloud features, we will update this Policy.

2. Information we process

2.1 On-device functional data

  • Pause-before-open events (e.g. returned / continued) and focus session durations for on-device progress and charts;
  • Your settings (blocked apps, modes, bedtime, parental options);
  • Local database storage on your device.

2.2 System permissions

  • iOS: Screen Time / Family Controls authorization to show shields before opening selected apps. We do not receive an uploadable stream of “what videos you watched.”
  • Android: overlay, accessibility, and usage-access permissions may be used for pause overlays, usage stats, or detox mode—locally, for blocking and statistics.
  • Optional biometrics for parental locks are handled by the OS.

2.3 Information you send us

2.4 Website hosting logs

Our host (e.g. Vercel) may collect standard technical logs (IP, timestamp, user agent, path) for security and reliability. We do not add advertising trackers on this site. Analytics, if added later, will be disclosed here.

3. How we use information

  • Provide pause-before-open, focus sessions, detox, bedtime, and stats;
  • Show your progress metrics on device;
  • Respond to support and improve reliability;
  • Comply with law where required.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information except with consent, as required by law, or via infrastructure providers processing hosting logs under their terms. App stores process download/purchase data under their own policies.

5. Retention

Core app data stays on your device until you clear data or uninstall (subject to OS backups). Support emails are retained as needed, then deleted or anonymized. Hosting logs follow provider defaults.

6. Security

We use reasonable safeguards. No method is 100% secure—protect your device unlock and grant sensitive permissions carefully.

7. Children

The product is primarily for adults managing their own habits. Parental features exist, but iOS cannot prevent uninstall or turning off Screen Time. Guardians should authorize carefully and follow local law.

8. Your choices & rights

Revoke permissions in system settings, change modes in-app, uninstall the app, or contact us at moreless1025@gmail.com. Where GDPR/CCPA/etc. apply, you may have access, correction, deletion, and related rights; many requests can be completed on device because processing is local-first.

9. Updates

We may update this Policy and revise the date above. Material changes will be communicated reasonably. Continued use after updates means you acknowledge the revised Policy to the extent permitted by law.
