Terms of Service / User Agreement

These Terms govern your download, installation, and use of NoScroll and related website materials. By using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. The service

NoScroll helps you pause before opening selected apps, and records progress such as avoided opens and focus time. Optional features include focus sessions, digital detox, bedtime, statistics, and parental controls. Availability varies by platform and OS version.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app on devices you own or control. You may not reverse engineer or unlawfully bypass protections (except as allowed by law), use the app for unlawful purposes, or remove rights notices.

3. Accounts & fees

Core features currently do not require our own account system. If subscriptions or IAPs are offered later, pricing and refunds will follow store rules and the purchase flow.

4. Permissions

Features may require Screen Time (iOS) or overlay / usage access / accessibility (Android). Without permissions, features may not work. You are responsible for your settings, lists, and any use on a minor's device.

5. Important limitations

• Not medical advice. The app is not therapy or addiction treatment.
• No 100% guarantee. OS limits, permission changes, or errors may cause missed or delayed shields.
• iOS boundaries. We cannot prevent uninstall or turning off Screen Time. The app is not an unescapable lock.
• Mode priority: when more than one mode is on, digital detox takes precedence over focus, which takes precedence over pause-before-open.

6. Intellectual property

Name, marks, UI, and docs are protected. Open-source components are governed by their licenses.

7. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our aggregate liability will not exceed fees you paid to us for the app in the twelve months before the claim (or zero if free), except where law requires otherwise.

9. Termination

You may stop using and uninstall at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach where permitted. Surviving clauses remain in effect.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms and the date on this page. Continued use after changes means acceptance to the extent permitted by law.

11. Governing law

Mandatory local laws prevail. Subject to that, these Terms may be governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China (without conflict-of-law rules). Disputes should first be negotiated in good faith, then brought before a court of competent jurisdiction unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
